Forensic Sexual Battery Claims (SB)

Forensic Sexual Battery Examination Claims, governed by s. 960.28 of the Florida Statutes, provides reimbursement to providers for the cost of the initial forensic physical examination of a victim following a sexual battery upon that person. There is no requirement for victims of sexual battery to contact the proper authorities to have examination costs compensated. Claims must be submitted within 120 days following the examination. The Schedule of Benefits identifies the amount available for reimbursement.
